We have collections coming up at Reading Station
We’d like to say a big thank you and well done to our amazing volunteer collectors, who recently took part in collections at the Meadows in Camberley and Tesco Portman Road. Your support is much appreciated.
Could you help?
We have three more collections coming up at Reading Station and we are looking for volunteers who can spare a couple of hours to help.
The dates are as follows;
- Thursday 15 June
- Thursday 14 September
- Thursday 19 October
You will be given a bucket, a tabard and all the support you need. The collections serve a few purposes – to collect money yes, but also to publicise our Centre. Many of our collectors have MS and find it is a great way to give back to the Centre. Volunteering to collect is also about engaging with the people in your community and raising their awareness of those who live with MS.
One of our regular collectors, Liz, says the following:
“I love collecting at the station as the staff and passengers are friendly and very interested in the Centre. Some people either have MS or know someone with MS, so they want more information about the Centre, which I provide. I usually collect a lot of money there which makes it so worthwhile doing it.”
How to get involved
If you fancy giving collecting a whirl, please contact Kirsten on 0118 901 6000, email on kirsten@bmtsc.org or find her in the office. There is no pressure to do all collections, just as and when you fancy. Any support you could give would be much appreciated.
