End of Go Teetotal

Go Teetotal in January last weekend!

January 28, 2021 | Southmedia

Did you Go Teetotal for January?

We are entering the last weekend of our Go Teetotal for January challenge. We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who signed up and congratulations to everyone who succeeded. For those who didn’t do as well as they hoped, there is always February which has the bonus of being a shorter month!

When this crisis first hit we hoped that our fundraising events would be back on track by now but sadly that isn’t the case. The original plan was to start the follow-on challenge to Go Finland but now is not the time for ‘international travel’, virtual or not! Our bucket collections continue to be paused and this week the Reading Half Marathon announced that they have moved their 2021 race to November.

But hope is out there! With the vaccine programme rolling out with such speed, London Marathon has announced it is full steam ahead with their autumn date. This year they will be going for a World Record with 100,000 runners: 50,000 people running the traditional race in London plus a further 50,000 virtual runners in towns and cities across the UK. We are working on other virtual fundraising plans, we may not be able to be together but we can be united in spirit.

If you would like more information or a chat about fundraising for the Centre, please contact our fundraiser Yvonne by emailing yvonne@bmstc.org or call 0118 901 6000 (please leave a message if no one is there and we will get back to you).
