We say a fond farewell to Kim, our Events and Community Fundraiser
In this week’s blog we say a very sad goodbye to our Events and Community Fundraiser Kim, who is leaving the Centre this week. Kim joined us in April 2022 and she will be greatly missed by us all. We asked Kim about her time working at BMSTC:
What are you most proud of achieving during your time here?
I’m very proud of introducing the Sparkling Afternoon Tea, giving our members an opportunity to socialise together. The tea has taken place twice now and proved to be a very popular event. I’m also particularly proud of my two London Marathon teams, who have raised large amounts of money for the Centre. Lastly I’m pleased to have been able to build good corporate and community relationships, which will hopefully continue and lead to ongoing support for the Centre.
What are you going to miss the most?
I will really miss all my lovely colleague and the amazing members. The Centre is such a special place.
What are your future plans?
I’m moving on to another local charity, Berkshire Vision, which supports people with visual impairments. I will be taking the role of Activities Co-ordinator, organising events and activities across the area.
Thank you Kim for all your hard work raising funds for our Centre. We will really miss you but we wish you all the very best in the future. Keep in touch!
