Last week we said a fond farewell to two members of the BMSTC team – our Fundraising and Marketing intern Sheyla and our physiotherapy student Jake.
We loved having them both and they have both been a great asset to the team.
Jake said,” My placement at the Centre has been fantastic. I am immensely thankful to all of the physiotherapy team who couldn’t have done more to support my growth as a student. I’m very grateful for all staff and volunteers who create a warm and inclusive environment at the Centre and ensure that everyone feels welcomed and supported, myself included. And most importantly, a big thank you to the Centre members who have shared their MS experience and happily had me be part of their sessions and treatments.”
Meanwhile Sheyla said, “It has been an immense pleasure working with you these months, making so many wonderful memories which I will always cherish. The Centre is a special place because of staff such as you, which make it such a warm and welcoming workplace and for people with MS. I will always be thankful for the Centre and specially Sam, for giving me the opportunity of being part of your team, even for a short time, with your guidance, mentorship and unwavering support.”
