On Friday, we said a sad goodbye to our Reiki reflexologist, Lorena. Lorena had volunteered with the Centre since December 2003, providing Reiki free of charge and requesting donations to BMSTC. We are incredibly grateful for everything she has done for the Centre and our members over the years.
Lorena said, “I first became aware of the Therapy Centre and the excellent and varied work it does to support people with MS and their families/carers when I was diagnosed with Relapsing/Remitting MS in the 1990s. After being attuned to Reiki and studying Craniosacral Therapy I began treating at the Centre on a voluntary basis and asking that payment for the treatments I carried out be made directly to the Centre.
During the 20+ years I’ve treated here I have met many wonderful people, both staff and members. I have felt welcomed and supported throughout my time here and feel sad that I have to leave it all behind as I move on to enjoying my retirement. I’ll miss everyone but, hope to be able to come back and visit when I’m in the area.”
Thank you again Lorena, wishing you all the very best for your retirement.
