The UK Government has annnounced a consultation on the future of Personal Independence Payment (PIP.) Reforms to PIP could include stopping regular cash payments, and instead offering claimants one-off grants for things like home adaptations. Read the full story here on the BBC website.
National charity the MS Society have reacted to the consultation with some concern about how these potential changes could affect people with MS. They are worried that this approach could potentially push more disabled people into poverty as they believe that PIP can help people with MS stay in work and maintain their independence for longer.
