A brand new physiotherapy class at the Berkshire MS Therapy Centre
Did you know? The foot has 26 bones, 33 joints as well as many sensory receptors in the skin, muscles, tendons and joints to help with movement, balance and shock absorption.
Thanks to the support of the Aviva Community Fund and the National Lottery Community Fund we will be starting our brand new Don’t Forget Your Feet physiotherapy class led by Henriette. It will be a mixture of sensory exercises, flexibility and strengthening exercises for feet and ankles.
Taking place on a Wednesday between 10am and 10.45 from 24 June until 12 August 2020. This 8 week course will be run over Zoom with each session lasting 45 minutes. It may will help with:
- Strength
- Improved sensation and proprioception
- Flexibility
- Balance and walking
The class is open for people with don’t use a walking aid or use a walking aid some part of the day. You need to have some movement in your feet and ankles. You will also need to be able to place either leg on top of the other and reach your foot with your hands. You will need some strength in both hands to manipulate your foot. You will need to do it with bare feet.
