The Sequela Foundation was set up in 2012 to provide support for people with neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s, MS, stroke, ataxia and others in the East Berkshire area. Their motto is ‘I am physically challenged and differently able’.
They meet every Tuesday between 10.30am and 1pm at NMCC Sports Bar, Summerleaze Park, Summerleaze Road, Maidenhead, SL6 8SP.
The sessions include exercise classes, massage therapy and reflexology. The exercise classes are seated and work on all the muscles of the body. Each person works to a level suitable for their disability.
They sometimes have guest speakers on a variety of topics such as gardening, photography, local history and other interesting subjects; they also have occasional interactive singing sessions.
