Your weekly update
Some weeks this year there has been so much news we have struggled to cover everything. Other weeks we have struggled to bring you much at all. We are definitely in the busy season!
This week we have seen many announcements from the Government including Christmas bubbles, economic statements, new tiers announced and of course, a third potential vaccine. Apparently, a month ago a vaccine offering 50% protection would have been hailed a great success so to have three with such great potential is truly incredible. We are bringing you a summary here:https://www.bmstc.org/blog/coronavirus-update
This week the fundraising team have started our Festive Fun-draising, designed to spread merriment and raise some money this December for the Centre. In all seriousness, the activities are designed to have fun this Christmas so whether you celebrate Christmas or not and whether you can donate or not, please join in here: https://www.bmstc.org/blog/festive-fun-draising
This year our online Yoga classes have really taken off but there is still space for you to join. Yoga is widely recommended for people with MS and we are thrilled to have our first-ever chair-based classes on offer too. This week saw Carers Rights Day with the theme ‘Know Your Rights’. The Neuro Therapy Centre has put together a brilliant guide to carers rights and given us permission to share this with you. Ahttps://www.bmstc.org/blog/carers-rights-day-0
We are sorry to end on a negative note, Thames Valley Police have launched their Winter Burglary Campaign. This article is not designed to scare you but raise awareness that these type of people are out there. Please familiarise yourself here: https://www.bmstc.org/blog/winter-burglary-campaign
Have a good week!
