Read about Joy’s experience at the Partners and Carers Lunch Club
Our Membership and Volunteer Officer, Joy, was invited to attend the recent Partners and Carers Lunch organised by the Reading, Wokingham and Districts MS Society Group.
Here she tells us about the warm welcome and the delicious food she had:
‘On Thursday 13 April I was lucky enough to join the Reading, Wokingham and Districts MS Society Partners and Carers Lunch Club.
They meet at various venues around the area on the second Thursday of the month. They usually enjoy a delicious lunch, which is funded by the Reading, Wokingham and Districts MS Society Group. This time it was at the Toby Carvery in Lower Earley.
It was a lovely chatty group and whilst we enjoyed a delicious roast lunch, we discussed everything under the sun, from bell-ringing to cruising the rivers in China.
I felt very welcomed, and everyone was friendly and easy to talk to, it was a nice sized group, so not too overwhelming. Everyone who attended said they found it really helpful to chat with other people and swap experiences.’
Anyone who cares for someone with MS is welcome to attend.
