We’re very pleased to welcome our new Trustee, Abigail Simmons to the Centre. She brings with her many years of experience and expertise and will lead on safeguarding. Abigail has written a few words to introduce herself;
“I’m pleased to be joining BMSTC as a Trustee. Having spent many years in Adult Social Care, particularly in adult safeguarding, I’ve collaborated with various organisations to protect adults’ rights to live safely, free from abuse and neglect and have extensive expertise and knowledge in this area. As a qualified Independent Mental Capacity Advocate, I’m also committed to ensuring people’s rights and well-being are upheld. I’m eager to use my skills to support Berkshire MS Therapy Centre and its members. I’m passionate about safeguarding, health, and safety, and I’ll work closely with the team to create a safe and empowering environment for everyone.
In my spare time I enjoy art and creative activities, walking my small bossy dog ‘Ted’ and reading.”
