Can you help with this research project?

We have received the following request for help with research to share with you;

“My name is Melika Rostamkhani, and I am a PhD researcher at Sheffield Hallam University. I am contacting you to invite you to hear about an opportunity to contribute to this MS research project.

I am currently working on a research project that aims to co-design a power-assisted exercise programme for people with moderate-to-severe Multiple Sclerosis (MS). As part of this work, I am running a short Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) consultation to gather feedback on how we invite and screen participants for future co-design workshops.

What am I inviting you to take part in?

I would like to invite you to join a single online discussion, lasting approximately 30–45 minutes. During the session, I will briefly explain the proposed invitation and screening process for future workshops and ask for your feedback on whether it feels clear, reasonable, and respectful for people with lived experience of MS.

This session is not a medical appointment or an assessment, and you will not be asked to provide any clinical documents or personal medical details. The aim is simply to learn from your experience and perspective. With your permission, the session will be recorded so I can accurately capture your feedback. The recording will be stored securely and any notes or outputs will be anonymised, meaning you will not be identifiable in any reporting.

What happens next?

If you are interested, I would be very happy to provide further details and arrange a time that suits you. You are also welcome to contact me if you would like more information before deciding.

Thank you very much for considering this invitation.”

Please email Melika at M.Rostamkhani@shu.ac.uk for further details.
