Come and join our Go Challenge 2026 – Beside the Seaside, our 9th endeavour to raise funds for the Berkshire MS Therapy Centre! The event will run from 11 – 22 May.
As recipients of The King’s Award, we want to recognise this great honour in our event – so this year’s Go Challenge is taking in the King Charles III Coastal path (virtually!)
Starting at the Centre we’ll cycle to Aust to the beginning of the South West Coastal path. The route will follow the path all the way to Lands End, then along to Poole, crossing to the Isle of Wight, back along to Shoreham Beach then upwards to London, finishing the 1889km route at Buckingham Palace in time for tea with the King.
Our theme this year is celebrating the values epitomised by the King’s Award and the pride of our British Voluntary sector, inspired by the seaside setting of the King’s Coastal path with the Great British seaside. Our playlist will be based on British Bands over the decades with the British Seaside as our theme – possibly even joined by event mascot Steven Seagull!
You can help cover the kilometres between Monday 11 May – Friday 22 May by:
- using the bikes in the gym
- add kilometres from activity that you do from home
- attend our online classes and earn kilometres that way too
We aim to raise £6000 for the Centre, as we rely on donations and fundraising since we don’t receive NHS or national MS charity funding. Whilst there is no obligation to fundraise for this event, we would be most grateful for any contributions that can be made. Those who raise or donate £50 or more will enter a draw for a mystery prize (seaside themed of course!) You can sponsor the team online here.
To get involved, please speak to the physio team or email freia@bmstc.org with any questions.
