We are excited to be able to offer a Manual Handling session for Carers on Tuesday 17 November. This will be offered again by Michelle Morley who is an Occupational Therapist and a specialist Manual Handling trainer.
The session will explore moving and handling techniques and efficient postures to look after yourself and prevent injuries associated with caring duties. It will be an informal and friendly session and adaptable based on attendees’ needs. There will be a practical element to the training. The session is an opportunity to discuss any issues you may have with manual handling and discover ideas to use at home
The training will run from 1pm to 3pm in person at the Centre on Tuesday 17 November.
People attending the course are welcome to bring the person they care for to the Centre with them. There will be a volunteer in reception to help them if they need anything. The session is free but donations are welcome.
