Theatre Night: Busman’s Honeymoon

10/06/2022

Join us for the Busman’s Honeymoon, directed by Brian Blessed, at our theatre night at The Mill at Sonning

Our theatre night is back! Join us for a brilliant fundraising evening at the fabulous The Mill at Sonning to raise money for the Berkshire MS Therapy Centre.

Join us for a fantastic night to see Busman’s Holiday on Friday 10 June 2022.

Lord Peter Wimsey – upper crust sleuth – has married his lovely fiancee, Harriet Vane. But his honeymoon bliss is shattered when the dead body of the house’s previous owner turns up in the cellar. A brilliant whodunnit filled with thrills and humour!

This is what director, Brian Blessed, has to say about the play written by Dorothy L Sayers:

‘Dorothy L Sayers is one of the greatest writers of The Golden Age of British crime fiction. This is her masterpiece! A love story with detective interruptions.

It is enriched with gorgeous characters that bring delightful humour to the story. And the murder method itself remains the most ingenious ever devised by any crime writer.’

You will get:

  • Two-course meal – menus to be confirmed closer to the time
  • A theatre ticket to see Busman’s Holiday by Dorothy L Sayers and directed by Brian Blessed
  • A chance to support your local MS charity

Please be aware that The Mill at Sonning is a converted 18th Century Mill and as such it is not easily accessible for everyone who uses a wheelchair. There is a stairlift for those who use a manual chair and are able to transfer.

Tickets are £69 (plus booking fee if you buy online). You can buy your ticket online now or buy directly at the Berkshire MS Therapy Centre. There will be no booking fee for those purchased at the Centre.

You need to book your ticket before Wednesday 30 March. There is an option to pay in instalments and full payment is required by 10 May 2022.
