AGM 2019

Thank you to everyone who attended our annual AGM on Thursday 6th June 2019.

This year was a special occasion as we are celebrating two milestones: 35 years since the Berkshire MS Therapy Centre was started and 20 years since we moved into the incredible Bradbury House. We were thrilled to be joined by two of our patrons, Sir John Madejski and Debbie McGee who recently agreed to formally take on the role.

We host our AGM every year – it gives our members a chance to vote on important matters such as adopting the accounts and selecting our trustees (the board who govern the charity) as well as celebrating the achievements of the previous year.

Our Chairman Pete took the opportunity to talk about the great achievements made by the Centre in 2018.

This year we celebrated the contribution made by Penny Russell who has supported the Centre in so many ways over the last 25 years and recently stepped down from our Link Group committee.

We also said a fond farewell to one of our trustee David Williams-Jones who is emigrating to New Zealand next month. Bon Voyage David and thank you for all you have done for us.David, Pete and Sir John

We are pleased that Pete, Ian, Mark, David, Dave, Jim and Hilary have been re-elected as our trustees for the next twelve months.

Our treasurer David took the opportunity to sum up our financial position in 2018 – much easier than reading the 28 page accounts (available on our website if you would like to read them). Our biggest source of income continues to be donations from our members and we are very grateful to every penny raised.

Once the AGM was finished it was over to the important matter of the day: celebrating! We are thrilled that Debbie McGee has formally become a patron of the charity after years of supporting us and alongside fellow patron, Sir John Madejski, took to talking to as many people at the Centre as possible before cutting our celebration cake.

Everyone seemed to have an enjoyable time and thank you to everyone who joined us to mark the occasion.
