BMSTC Update 14th May 2021

May 14, 2021 | Southmedia

With the majority of our therapies returning to the Centre over the next couple of weeks, we are looking forward to welcoming more people back to the Centre.

With the latest easing of lockdown restrictions and the success of the vaccination programme, we are delighted to resume more services at the Centre from Monday 17th May. These include the return of pressurized oxygen therapy, increased physiotherapy interventions and most of our complementary therapies. Please note our reception and refreshment areas still remain closed.  Please make yourself familiar with our current procedures for attending your appointment https://www.bmstc.org/what-you-need-know-about-appointments-centre

Our friendly volunteer receptionists and oxygen therapy operators are all eager to return and help. It is likely to be a little chaotic for the first couple of weeks as we settle into our new way of working, your patience and understanding is appreciated whilst we work through this transition period.

Please note, we have reduced our opening hours to 9.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday to allow for extra cleaning time.  If you arrive by taxi or community transport, please ensure that your return journey pick-up time is no later than 4.00pm. Our answer machine will be switched on outside of these times for messages. Oxygen therapy access on Tuesday evening will be from 5.30pm and Saturday from 9.30am.

Our online classes have proved very popular; we are happy to continue with these for the long term. These include physiotherapy, pilates, strengthening, yoga and relaxation and mindfulness. https://www.bmstc.org/our-remote-services

We also have many fundraising events coming up.  We encourage you, your friends and your family to support BMSTC in whatever way you can.  Help us continue to support our MS community throughout the pandemic and beyond.

London Marathon

Virtual London Marathon

Reading Half Marathon

Thank you for your ongoing help, support and generosity to keep the Centre going through these very challenging times.

We look forward to welcoming more of our members back next week!

Best wishes

Pip and all the team
