Changes to WiFi at the Centre

March 13, 2024 | Pippa Vincent-Cooke

This week, changes are coming to our WiFi here at the Centre.

What will the changes mean for me?

Existing users

If you have already accessed BMSTC public WiFi network on your device in the past, you will be prompted to agree to our terms of use (T&Cs) by ticking a simple checkbox.  You can then carry on using the WiFi at the Centre as usual. These T&Cs can be accessed and read in full at any time.  You will then be prompted once every 12 months afterwards to agree to the terms again.

New users

If you have not previously accessed BMSTC public Wi-Fi networks, you will be able to do so by scanning a QR code, which will be displayed on posters through the Centre. There will be no need to type a manual password if using the QR code. You will then be prompted to agree to the terms of use by ticking the tick box.

What if my device doesn’t have a camera?

If you have a device without a camera such as a laptop, you can still access the network using the usual password, followed by the T&Cs prompt. The password is displayed on reception.

Please bear with us as this is something new for us too! If you have any queries, please email ms@bmstc.org or speak to reception.
