Due to the Red Warning issued by the Met Office – set to begin from 9am on Wednesday to 9pm on Thursday, we have made the difficult decision to close the Centre completely on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 June.
The warning indicates a high risk to life and advises people to avoid travelling where possible. Whilst we appreciate the Centre itself is air conditioned and at optimal temperature, the risk involved in travel and getting to the Centre is considered too high.
We will not be running oxygen from Tuesday to Thursday as the temperatures in the chamber will be incredibly high, as well as the risk to our equipment.
We will be contacting everyone with oxygen and physiotherapy appointments booked on the affected days.
The Centre will reopen as normal for all activities including oxygen on Friday 26 June.
Please take care in the heat.
