South East Water have announced hosepipe restrictions across their region including parts of Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey. They are asking all customers to follow the restrictions straight away – restrictions will be in force from 00:01 on Saturday 25 July 2026.
Thames Water have also announced a hosepipe ban across the Thames Valley starting on Thursday 23 July 2026.
This means you will not be able to use a hosepipe to water your garden or wash your vehicle, amongst other things.
Exemptions for people with disabilities
There are exemptions to the restrictions that are applied to eligible customers. You can sign up to the Priority Services Register to become exempt if you have various conditions, including chronic or serious illness, physical impairment, restricted hand movement, dementia and more.
