Extra support may be available through your local authority
The Household Support Fund is funding provided by the Government to local authorities which they can use to support vulnerable households. The scheme has been extended until the end of September 2022.
Each local authority will be have different ways of distributing the money and you would need to contact your own local authority directly to see if you are eligible for any of the funding available. We have gathered together some useful links for relevant information from local authorities across Berkshire and South Oxfordshire to get you started:
Bracknell Forest Council
Bracknell are providing holiday food vouchers and supermarket vouchers to eligible residents.
Reading Borough Council
Information available on the website regarding benefits and support
Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead
Food vouchers and other help may be available.
Slough Borough Council
Residents can apply for help with utility bills and food if they meet the eligibility criteria.
South Oxfordshire District Council
Residents can apply to South Oxfordshire’s voucher scheme to support households who are struggling to afford energy, food and other related household bills and expenses.
West Berkshire Council
Vulnerable residents in need of support with household essentials are encouraged to apply for the funding available.
Wokingham Borough Council
Familes and older people plus anyone else finding themselves in hardship can apply for help via One Front Door.
