How much should I be donating?

October 1, 2025 | Pippa Vincent-Cooke

We’ve had a lot of positive responses since our Chairman, Neil, shared an update about our financial last week (if you missed it, you can read it here.) Many of you have been incredibly understanding and supportive—thank you. We have been touched by all your lovely comments about the importance of the Centre to you.

We’re also very grateful for the suggestions you’ve sent in. We’re listening to every piece of feedback.

Two questions keep coming up:
“What do the treatments cost?” and “How much should I be donating?”

Although we don’t receive any NHS funding, we provide our core services on a donation basis. Every single session at the Centre is made possible thanks to the generosity of those who donate and who fundraise.

Here’s what some of our sessions cost us to deliver after all the costs are taken into account:

  • £70 funds a one-to-one physiotherapy session or initial assessment
  • £19 covers a place in a group physio class
  • £63 pays for a counselling session— a lifeline for someone struggling
  • £55 provides a footcare appointment, helping with comfort, mobility and independence
  • £12 supports a yoga session to boost both physical and mental wellbeing

We don’t set a fixed donation amount—we simply ask people to give what they can. Everyone’s circumstances are different and every contribution truly makes a difference.

If you’d like to start a regular donation—or adjust one you already have—please pop into the office and we’ll be happy to help.
