My name is Anwen, and I’ve been a qualified Physiotherapist for 16 years, having studied Physiotherapy at the University of Birmingham. Since qualifying, I have worked in a variety of settings including within the NHS and private practice. I’ve always had a passion for neurological rehabilitation, so for the last 12 years, I have specialised in Neurology.
Most recently I’ve been working as a Clinical Lead Physiotherapist on a Rehabilitation Unit, where I have further developed specialist knowledge and skills in complex neurological assessment, gait re-education and balance re-training. Additionally, I have completed further training in Functional Electrical Stimulation and Pilates. I really enjoy getting to know people and helping them to achieve their goals through physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
I have recently moved back to the local area with my family, following a number of years working in London. Outside of work I enjoy keeping active and reading. My first ever physiotherapy work experience was at the Berkshire MS Therapy Centre many years ago, so I am really looking forward to returning to where it all began and meeting everyone!
