Looking back on MS Awareness Week

May 1, 2024 | Pippa Vincent-Cooke

Last week was MS Awareness Week and members of the BMSTC team were out and about spreading the word about the Centre in Broad Street Mall, the Royal Berkshire Hospital and at the HQ of one of our corporate supporters, Centrica. It was a great opportunity to let more people know about our work and we look forward to building on this in the future.

A reminder that the national theme for MS Awareness Week was #MSUnfiltered and a special podcast about taboo MS symptoms has been produced by the MS Trust. You can listen to the podcast here.

We were also thrilled to welcome The Mayor of Reading Cllr Tony Page to the Centre last week to pull out the winners of our MS Awareness Week Grand Draw.

Huge congratulations to our supporter Elvira who won the £200 top prize! We have been busy contacting the other winners to let them know the good news. Well done to all our winners and a huge thank you to everyone who entered. The draw raised £1,106 for the Centre in total, a great amount and much appreciated.
