There is still time to sign up for our free Manual Handling training session for carers on Monday 23 June. This will be offered again by Michelle Morley who is an Occupational Therapist and a specialist Manual Handling trainer.
The session will explore moving and handling techniques and efficient postures to look after yourself and prevent injuries associated with caring duties. It will be an informal and friendly session and adaptable based on attendees’ needs. There will be a practical element to the training. The session is an opportunity to discuss any issues you may have with manual handling and discover ideas to use at home
The training will run from 10am to 12noon in person at the Centre, with an optional Q&A session afterwards until 1pm.
People attending the course are welcome to bring the person they care for to the Centre with them. There will be a volunteer in reception to help them if they need anything.
