Meet our London Marathon team – part two!

March 27, 2024 | Pippa Vincent-Cooke

We have a team of ten supporters who will be taking on the challenge of running 26.2 miles on Sunday 21 April to raise funds for the Centre. This week, we are introducing you to three more of our runners, Harry, Laura and Meg.

Harry

I’m Harry and I’m running the 2024 London marathon for the Berkshire MS Therapy Centre alongside my girlfriend Laura. This is both our first ever marathon so nervous but extremely excited and has always been a bucket list thing of mine! Training has been going well, and I’m working towards my target time (or just finish ha).

As for the charity, MS is something that affects close family friends of mine. It therefore sits close to my heart and pushes me to support such an amazing charity that provides such incredible treatments. We have made a good start as the donations go and we are looking to host a casino themed charity night to aid this further!  Anything you can donate to support would be greatly appreciated.

Laura

I’m Laura and I will be running alongside Harry at the London Marathon. I have been training hard since the beginning of this year to get myself as prepared as I can for the marathon! This will be a new experience for me and I am super excited to be doing it for such an amazing charity. We will also be running a charity casino night to help us get to our target!

The Berkshire MS Therapy Centre has been an amazing support to my uncle and his family, supporting him with his MS. With there being no current cure for MS, the work that this charity does to support families who need it is so important. The different range of treatments they offer to people with MS is incredible and goes a long way. Therefore that makes running the London Marathon for them even more special.

Any donations are going to an amazing cause and would be appreciated by so many people.

Meg

I am running the London Marathon for a fantastic charity, the Berkshire MS Therapy Centre.

Those who know me will know my boyfriend Chris, whose Dad Neil has MS. The Berkshire MS Therapy Centre is a charity extremely close to his and his family’s hearts and the work they do directly helps Neil as well as other local people with MS.
