National MS charity the MS Society has recently launched their manifesto in parliament. MPs joined them to hear about the priorities of people living with MS ahead of the general election.
The manifesto calls for the next UK Government to take action to transform the lives of people affected by MS. Produced together with people affected by MS, it outlines measures to improve financial security and health outcomes for people living with MS.
Key manifesto demands:
- Better financial security – Fix the PIP assessment process, improve disability benefits, and make workplaces inclusive and accessible​
- Stronger healthcare support, so people stay healthy for longer – Invest in neurology services, including more specialists and therapists, and improve access to mental health support.
