The last twenty years have seen so much change and now we face more and more of ourselves out there: every time you shop online, use an app, stream a file or ‘like’ a social media post, you generate data. The scale is huge – to keep pace new legislation, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), will come into force on 25 May 2018.
GDPR is the biggest change to UK data privacy law for 20 years and is designed to better protect personal information. All organisations, big or small, must meet GDPR requirements.
Here at the Centre we work hard to ensure your data is safe:
- We do: use data to help us provide a great service for our members, which includes tailoring the information we share with you to help ensure that it’s relevant, useful and timely.
- We do: respect your privacy and work hard to meet strict regulatory requirements.
- We do: go the extra mile to protect your data.
- We don’t: sell your personal data to third parties
If you are on our email or mailing list, we will be in touch with you very soon to ask for your consent to continue to receive our communications. Watch this space…….!
