The centre is due to open in the next few weeks
A new urgent care service is set to open in The Broad Street Mall shopping centre in Reading. It will treat people with urgent, but not life threatening healthcare problems and is aimed at easing the pressures on the local GP surgeries and Royal Berkshire Hospital emergency department.
The centre, due to open in the next few weeks, will be open seven days a week between 8am and 8pm.
It is expected to offer 100 appointments daily split between triaged appointments and referrals from Royal Berkshire Hospital’s A&E department and GPs.
