Zoom has made their service free over Christmas and New Year and we have some game suggestions to keep you entertained
Clearly, the Government’s announcement at the weekend has turned many people’s plans no their heads.
Our Fundraising Manager Sam has put together some game suggestions which you can play online even when you are miles apart.
Some require you to use a video chat function, such as Zoom, Google Meets, Skype or Facebook Hangouts (there are many more which could be added to this list). Whilst it is not the same as being together, it does give you a chance to interact and we have found that it is fun to play whilst talking. It does mean that you may need an additional device to ‘meet up on’.
On Zoom there is usually a 40 minute limit on a free account for meetings with more than two devices. However, as a Christmas gift Zoom are making it free on the following times.
- 3pm on Dec. 23 to 11 am on Dec. 26,
- 3pm on Dec. 30 to 10 am on Jan. 2.
(times shown are GMT)
The games we have listed are free. This means it is likely to have a paid version which they encourage you to sign up to and ads so be sure of what you click on! This has been put together with the best intentions and with every care. However, these are external websites and, as always, please be vigilant when online.
The Virtually Together website has a whole range of free activities on Christmas Day including a magic show, an escape room and a murder mystery. Find out more by clicking here.
If you have suggestions, we would love to hear them!
Enjoy!
