Following the success of our first two FACETs (fatigue management) courses we are planning to run our first online FACETs programme. The programme will have the same format and content as the in-person class but will be offered over Zoom.
This course is based on a programme developed by researchers at Bournemouth University and the Dorset MS Service at Poole Hospital called FACETs (Fatigue: Applying Cognitive behavioural and Energy effectiveness Techniques to life Style).
The six sessions will help you find ways to manage your MS fatigue and explain it to other people. You will discuss the nature of MS fatigue, how to manage and balance energy levels and the impact of stress.
The class will run on Zoom on a Wednesday for six weeks from 9 October from 11.00am-12.45pm, with regular breaks built in to each session.
Whilst we understand that things do unexpectedly happen, every week of the six week course will be building on the previous session so a commitment to attend as many sessions as possible is a must.
Please email ligia@bmstc.org if you’re interested in joining the course as spaces are limited.
