They went to a variety of useful workshops
Centre physiotherapists Anwen and Analyn recently attended the MS Trust conference in Leicester run by national charity the MS Trust, who are celebrating their 30th anniversary.
The MS Trust conference is an annual conference attended by MS nurses, consultants and other healthcare professionals, as well as physiotherapists, from across the NHS and other therapy centres.
Anwen and Analyn attended sessions and workshops about respiratory management for people with MS, exercise programmes for wellbeing, MS and the workplace, the progression and evolution of MS, fatigue management and many more.
Anwen said, “I really enjoyed the conference. It has helped me to build a network of like-minded professionals who specialise in MS. They all have a passion for improving the services available for people with MS, just like we do. We hope to be able to use what we’ve learned to implement new initiatives at the Centre, including respiratory exercises, fatigue management and new exercise programmes.”
