The Shielding advice is changing at the end of the month
At the end of the month shielding advice changes for people who are classed as extremely clinically vulnerable, ie those who have been shielding.
When shielding is paused at the end of the month, food parcels will stop but priority access to supermarket delivery slots and support from NHS volunteers will remain in place for people who have been shielding.
Friday 17 July is the last day you can register as clinically extremely vulnerable on the government website if you haven’t already done so. You can do that by clicking here.

Throughout the pandemic, the MS Society has campaigned the Government to make sure the experience of people with MS was heard and getting them to understand the concerns of people with MS. They have joined with 47 other health charities to write to the relevant secretaries of state about shielding and asked them to clarify their plans, the reasoning behind them, and for better information to be provided.
