We’ve been to Transylvania, we’ve visited the countries of the Six Nations, we’ve travelled to Loch Ness… This year, we’re going back in time to mark the Centre’s 40th anniversary for the Go1984 Challenge!
Our challenge is twofold – firstly, we aim to cover 1,984 miles between us and secondly, we want to hit our fundraising target of £7,000! (and we’ll have a lot of 80s themed fun along the way…)
The challenge will run from 17 June to 6 July so sign up now to join the team!
The challenge is open to anyone with MS, whether you attend the Centre or not.
You can cover the mileage:
- On the bikes at the Centre during your physiotherapy classes, our special open gym sessions or by attending on Saturday 6 July.
- At home. You can help us cover the miles at home. If you have a bike or go out for a walk or a wheel, don’t forget to let us know how far you went and to send photos!
- By attending one of our online class sessions. Each hour will equal one mile.
Full disclaimer: we aren’t actually going anywhere. This is a virtual challenge. On the plus side, no passports, and no queuing. Dressing as if you are in 1984 is totally encouraged, along with getting in the groove with classic 1984 songs!
So don those luminous pink legwarmers, dig out those 80s cassette tapes and sign up for the Go1984 Challenge!
You can either sign up in person with your physiotherapist or class instructor or online via our online form.
