Sessions start 17 January
Start the new year in positive way by signing up to our next online Relaxation and Meditation class starting on Tuesday 17 January led by our Yoga teacher Uddhava.
Following the success of our last course it has been extended to six weeks to give more time to learn the different techniques. The class is open to any member who is new to meditation or those who want to deepen their understanding and build their own practice.
The class will cover a range of different relaxation and meditation techniques designed to help calm the mind and reduce stress so that you can find what works best for you.
Meditation has been shown to calm the mind and reduce feelings of depression and anxiety. It has even been shown to reduce fatigue which for many people with MS is one of the most debilitating symptoms. (If you are interested in scientific research, click here for a recent study that evidences the benefits of mindfulness meditation.)
Whilst you can’t change the world around you can change how you respond. Relaxation and meditation have been shown to decrease the effects of stress on our bodies and minds and improve our quality of life.
