If your new year’s resolution is to relax more, why not join our next 6-week online Relaxation and Meditation class starting on Tuesday 20 January 2026 at 11.30am and led by our Yoga teacher Uddhava. The class will cover a range of different relaxation and meditation techniques designed to help calm the mind and reduce stress so that you can find what works best for you.
Whilst you can’t change the world around you can change how you respond. The class is open to any member who is new to meditation as well as those who want to deepen their understanding and build their own practice.
There is now a large body of evidence that meditation has a powerful influence on our health and well-being. It has been shown to relieve depression, lower blood pressure, assist in pain control and release anxiety. Mindfulness meditation has been shown to decrease the effects of stress on our bodies and minds and improve our quality of life. This is especially important for people with MS as they often find that stress can aggravate their condition.
Feedback on Uddhava’s past courses has been very positive. One recent attendee said;
“I just wanted to say thank you for letting me join the class . It is very helpful and we so benefit from the mindfulness teaching. I sometimes forget how challenging living with MS is. Your classes bring calmness and a relaxed sense that we so desperately need. I thank you.”
