Thank you to David Coe

December 18, 2024 | Pippa Vincent-Cooke

David Coe has stepped down from his role as Treasurer after many, many years of service! We are so grateful for everything he has done for the Centre over the years. Our Chair of Trustees, Neil Dawkins, has written these words of thanks;

“David joined as a volunteer assistant bookkeeper in 2003 and became the Treasurer two years later, a role that seems to increase in scope each year. The Treasurer role is a very specialist one, and involves producing income and expenditure reports, actuals versus budget and cashflow projections every month to present to the Trustees, amongst other things. Many of you will recognise him from presenting the annual accounts summary and answering members’ questions at the AGM.

I would like to thank David on behalf of the Trustees and members for his years of support and unwavering commitment. We will miss his enormous contribution and humour at our monthly meetings and hope he will be able to fill the BMSTC sized hole by spending increased quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

They say every cloud has a silver lining, and without doubt our silver lining is our Trustee Rachel George who has now taken over the role of Treasurer. Rachel has been working closely with David and our bookkeeper Oumou for the past few months and I have no doubt we are in safe hands during this transition.

Thanks David and all the best.”
