The High Sheriff of Berkshire is visiting the Centre

February 25, 2026 | Pippa Vincent-Cooke

We are pleased to welcome Sean Taylor, High Sheriff of Berkshire, for a visit to the Centre on Friday 27 February at around 11.30am.

The High Sheriff of Berkshire is the King’s representative for law and order in the county. It is the oldest secular office in the United Kingdom, with roots stretching back over a thousand years. Today, the role of the sheriff focusses on supporting the judiciary, police, voluntary sector and community life.

Despite the grand job title, it will be a very informal visit. We will show the High Sheriff round the Centre and talk about what we do. Then he will chat to members, volunteers and staff over a cuppa and a biscuit. If you are in the Centre Friday, please do feel free to come and say hello! The High Sheriff is a business leader and an active supporter of local charities and is looking forward to finding out more about the Centre.
