Hello from everyone at the Centre
This weekend should have been the Reading Half Marathon where thousands of runners take to the streets of Reading to beat personal goals and raise money for charities. For anyone who gets involved as a runner or a spectator the community spirit is glorious. Roll on November when it will be back and life should be as normal!
The race may have been postponed but the community spirit is not far away. Our physiotherapists have started to call their members this week to nag encourage them to exercise. They have been so touched by the number of people who were concerned that they shouldn’t waste their time on them and that they should call other people. Don’t worry they will also be called – there is enough encouragement to go around!
We have been incredibly moved by everyone who has told us they have been thinking about us and the Centre. We are thinking of you all too.
Thank you to everyone who entered our Easter Draw. We drew the winners this week and are in the process of calling them. If you haven’t had a call you probably haven’t won (sorry!) but thank you for supporting us.
Top things from us:
- Read the tips from our counsellor, Leigh. He has put some wonderful guidance together and is currently working on other ways to offer help
- Do you need support where you are? There are some great groups springing up ready to help those in their neighbourhood. We have compiled a list here. Have we missed someone? Please let us know by dropping us an email
- Come and find us on Facebook, Twitter and join our private Facebook group
- If you are able to make your usual donation, or perhaps a little more, it will be greatly appreciated.
Please wherever you are, take care of yourselves and remember to #StayHomeSaveLives.
