June 1, 2026 | Pippa Vincent-Cooke

1-7 June is Volunteers Week and we will be featuring some of our amazing volunteers all week on the blog and social media. Today we are featuring Jonathan, one of our volunteer oxygen operators.

  1. How long have you been a volunteer at BMSTC?
    Approximately 2016 onwards.
  2. Why did you decide to become a volunteer at BMSTC?
I enjoyed the facilities provided and the people I met and they needed helpers and so I volunteered.
  3. What do you enjoy most about volunteering? What benefits have you experienced personally?
The oxygen therapy helps renew and refresh my brain. Socialising and friendships. Using my skills. Feeling needed and challenged. Access to current info on MS.
  4. What would you say to anyone about becoming a volunteer at BMSTC?
Do it and join us. It helps with understanding MS and also gives you long lasting friendships and a social calendar of lovely events.
