We are thrilled to welcome Freia as our new Senior Fundraising Manager. We’ll let Freia introduce herself;
“Hi all, I’m Freia Pagdin and I’m delighted to have joined the team as a Senior Fundraising Manager.
I bring a wealth of experience to the role, having worked in small charities, the NHS and public sector for over 15 years in both Fundraising and Communications.
My most recent role was with specialist education charity Inclusion Education, which supports young people with mental health, additional learning needs and the co-occurrence with neurodivergence to re-engage with education. During my 6½ years with Inclusion I developed my role within the charity, becoming Head of Strategic Communications and Social Impact Implementation (I’m not 100% sure what it means either!) – where I shaped the communications strategy and messaging of the organisation as well as developing new projects, programmes and funding streams for our charity arm. Not only did this involve crafting our message and increasing awareness but also bids and grant fundraising and reporting, event management, community and corporate engagement and sponsorship – all of which I hope will put me in good stead for my role here at the Centre!
At home I have two teenage boys – Theo (15) and Otis (13) and Milly – our working Cocker Spaniel who all keep me busy. I’m also a keen reader and love going to see bands and live music – so always happy to hear about any concert fundraisers you might have links to!
Making a difference in my community is hugely important to me, and as well as working in the charity sector I also volunteer, with previous roles as an advocate for Solent Mind, supporting Forest School for Inspero and various local committees and events. I have also recently become a Trustee for Hampshire based Domestic Abuse charity, Stop Domestic Abuse.
I feel incredibly lucky to be working with such a wonderful team here at BMSTC – everyone has been so very welcoming and it has been a joy to meet so many members at the Centre in my first week. We know we are facing challenging times, but I am really excited to see what we can achieve together.”
Welcome to BMSTC Freia, we’re so pleased to have you.
