You may have noticed a new face in the gym over the past few weeks. Kady is a student on placement with our Physiotherapy team until 25 October. We’ll let her introduce herself;
“Hi, my name is Kady. I’m currently in my final year studying Physiotherapy at Oxford Brookes University, and this is my third placement. What I enjoy most about these experiences is getting to know people on a personal level and understanding their individual needs.
A bit about me: I was born in Spain, but my parents are originally from Gambia. Before pursuing physiotherapy, I was a professional dancer, specializing in modern Afro fusion. I’ve also worked as an Aquagym and Zumba instructor, which helped me develop my love for movement and fitness. Another big passion of mine is weightlifting, and in my free time, you’ll often find me lifting heavy weights at the gym.
So far, this has been my favourite placement because it gives me the chance to connect with so many people and make a difference in their lives. My motto right now is “Quality over quantity,” and I hope to apply that by offering focused, meaningful care to everyone I work with.
I look forward to getting to know everyone better and hope to have a positive impact during my time here!”
It’s great to have you on the BMSTC team Kady!
