From this week until 19 July, you will notice a new face in the gym, our physiotherapy student Maya. We will let Maya introduce herself.
“Hello, I am Maya a second year Physiotherapy student from Cardiff University. I am at the Centre for four weeks on my fourth placement. I have enjoyed the start of this placement, working with all the lovely staff and members so I am sure I will enjoy my time here. My previous placements have been based across Wales: within an ITU (Intensive Therapy Unit), working with patients with learning disabilities and in an inpatients stroke rehabilitation ward. I am looking forward to gaining new experiences here.
Outside of my degree, I am an active member of the university’s dance society and enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I also love going on long walks and spending time with my dogs! I am looking forward to getting involved with everything that the physiotherapy team do within the Centre throughout my time here.”
