We are thrilled to welcome Rebecca Dunn to the team at the Centre. We’ll let her introduce herself;
“Hi everyone, I’m Rebecca Dunn, the new Fundraising Manager. I have worked as a fundraiser for both small and large charities for several years. I have also worked in event management. I love the variety that my job presents, and the fact that I get to meet so many different people. It is a privilege to support individuals and businesses that want to raise money for charity. The time, energy, and passion that supporters give to their fundraising events never fails to amaze me and it is wonderful to get to know each person and help them make their fundraising a success.
Outside work, my life revolves around my 2 young children: Harriet, 6 and Cameron, 4. When I am not ferrying them to activities or parties, I like cooking, gardening, and going for walks. I am also a Governor for a federation of nursery schools in Reading. It is a challenging but rewarding role that has given me great insight into the importance of early years care and education. It sets the foundations for learning once a child reaches school age and continues to aid their development right into adulthood.
I am a chatty person and enjoy meeting new people, especially if there is a cup of tea and a biscuit (or three) involved, so please do come and say hello if you would like to. I am really looking forward to getting to know as many members and volunteers as possible at the Centre. I am very excited to have joined the team.”
