Fundraising for the Centre
Over the last few weeks we have had some amazing fundraisers support the Centre. Can you see what they have in common?
Firstly we have Ian who has set up a birthday fundraiser where he is asking for donations instead of presents. He has said there will be cake!
Secondly, Tracy has held a book-swap event and invited people taking part to donate to the Centre. Of course there was plenty of wine! She raised an incredible £251.
Thirdly, The Calleva Arms in Silchester and The Plough in Little London held an inter-pub cricket match with a BBQ, raffle and a bar. They even needed to go for more beer! They raised a brilliant £2150 to help us continue our work.
We can only conclude that food and drink are secret weapons to good fundraising. And on that note we need to find the biscuits. We hope that this long continues with our theatre and dinner night coming up!
