1-7 June is Volunteers Week and we will be featuring some of our amazing volunteers all week on the blog and social media. Today we are featuring Rovshan, one of our collectors.
- How long have you been a volunteer at BMSTC?
Eighteen months. - Why did you decide to become a volunteer at BMSTC?
I receive a lot of support from the Therapy Centre, so I wanted to do something to support the Centre in return. - What do you enjoy most about volunteering? What benefits have you experienced personally?
I enjoy doing something useful for the Centre and society more broadly. It gives me a sense of achievement to be an active citizen. It’s especially satisfying when I’m able to tell people with MS about the services offered by the Centre. - Would you recommend volunteering at BMSTC to others?
Yes, definitely. There’s no pressure to do more than you’re comfortable with. - What would you say to anyone about becoming a volunteer at BMSTC?
Have a go! The team are very helpful and will explain what you need to do.
