A message from Tracy
This week the nation has marked the one year anniversary of the first lockdown and has paused to reflect and remember all those we have lost during the Covid pandemic.
We too would like to take the opportunity at this time to remember and pay tribute to those known to us here at the Centre who have died since we closed our doors last March, whether as a result of the virus or other causes. When we reopen, there will very sadly be some who will not return and they will be deeply missed by members, volunteers and staff.
Many say that the Centre is like a family and as such we mourn each person who has died and will feel their absence. In most instances, Covid restrictions have prevented us from being able to support families by attending funerals although the availability of live-streaming has meant that we have been able to join some services virtually. At this painful and difficult time, where many are grieving and where, for others, life with restrictions is a daily struggle, we have decided not to list the names of those who have died but we send our love and deepest condolences to the family and friends of each one. We are thankful that they were part of the life of the Centre and they will not be forgotten.
